"Phobia" directed by Chris Barron is a powerful film that really does a good job of slowly increasing the fear of the viewer while watching a spider nightmare unfold before your eyes. Actress
Katharyn Grant delivers an excellent performance and the visuals by cinematographer
Luke Askelson are stunning. The secret to many horror films is the work, time, effort and energy put into the score and music, which were executed very well in this film by Cody Troyer.

Summary: "Fear is not in your head, it's on your skin.A woman gives into fear and kills an innocent spider. Now she faces the grave consequences of her fear.

Director's Statement: Fear and horror go together like veins and capillaries, so when looking for a concept to explore, phobias seemed like a great place to start. Phobias exist in spite of our rational mind, so we thought it would be fun to give our protagonist a real reason to be scared of a little spider.

Production Notes: The "Phobia" short film features a real baby tarantula! No CGI here, just a patient crew and very brave actress. The spider did do some stunt work, but she is unharmed and continues to live on the desk of our Director, Chris Barron.

About the Director: Chris Barron is an award-winning filmmaker with over 15 years of professional production experience. After graduating from New York University with a BFA in Film Production, he has shot documentaries, commercials, and branded content around the world.
